Inaugurated in 1935, this architectural landmark quickly emerged as Catanzaro’s most prestigious address, welcoming distinguished travelers and serving as the glamorous stage for the city’s high-society gatherings. This legacy of excellence reached a new summit through its historic union with Caffè Guglielmo—the prestigious roasting house established in 1943 by the visionary Guglielmo Papaleo. A native of Catanzaro, Guglielmo Papaleo began his journey in that same year with a modest local boutique. What started as a humble venture soon evolved into a visionary entrepreneurial odyssey, eventually flourishing into one of Calabria’s most prestigious industrial legacies.
